Tour of Wimbledon Tennis & Croquet Club in the rain & cold but we were fine after I bought the obligatory brolly - seems they stop play due to rain here often! Great to see some of the iconic places & the names of so many Australians on the honour boards. Shouldn't be surprised that it all seems much smaller than the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne & many outer courts have little seating for spectators. The famous colours of green & purple are everywhere & we could have even had strawberries & cream with lunch if we'd wanted to. Found our way to Notting Hill & Portobello Rd for a wander among the groovy stalls & shops but gave up when it rained heavily so we jumped on a bus back. Met up with Laurie - another of Geoff's schoolmates from Ramsden & we had a great evening in the corner pub then at Joe Allen restaurant catching up on years of stories.
