Test Run
To Borough Markets to meet up again with Jo & Chris, the lovely couple we met on Mirihi a few years ago when we were all holidaying in the sun. It was so good to see them again & we spent the afternoon together starting with a drink in a pub & struggling through the crowded markets for lunch. Great fresh food markets - a bit like the one in Melbourne but bigger & much more diverse produce! Sat on a wall next to Sir Frances Drake's ship The Golden Hind replica then walked down the SouthBank past the Globe Theatre. Decided to leave the crowds & crossed the Millenium Bridge to the City side & wandered around the Courts of Justice, law & Fleet St areas. Coffee stop & a look in Twinings original store from 1706. Found the Lincoln's Inn but closed on weekends so will have to come back. We do intend to do a walk around the original city square mile as it's so full of history & is where London began. Walked back to our Covent Garden flat for a cuppa & Sarah arrived back from her trip to Paris. We had such a good day walking & talking & catching up again - thanks Chris & Jo. Topped off a lovely day with a candlelight concert in St Martin in the Fields church to hear The Four Seasons & several other pieces of music. Sat up in the gallery where we couldn't see but the acoustics were amazing - Vivaldi was a genius & the surroundings made it a magical experience. Two 4 seasons in one week - Frankie Valli & Vivaldi - just a bit of a contrast!!!

brycyn Dear Jean, We are enjoying your trip enormously, you have done so much research, we didn't realise there are so many interesting places and things to do. Do admire your energy, and look forward to continuing the trip with both of you. Love from Bryan and Cynthia.
