Early morning walk around Covent Garden for some photos without the crowds - just me, the pigeons & the garbage collectors - so different without masses of people. Took ourselves to see the British Rock photo exhibition in The Albert Hall & did a guided tour as well. An amazing space modeled on a coliseum & full of lovely red velvet seats & carpets but interestingly has only recently worked out the acoustics - used to reverberate & you'd hear the music twice! Walked back through Hyde Park & saw a triathlon in action - there are sports events all the time here & on the tube later there were heaps of people covered in paint who had been in the Colour Run. Geoff & Sarah both have colds & coughs but as it was reasonably fine weather we decided to go to The Shard cocktail bar to "drink in the view". They were expensive drinks but we sat by the window & had a great view of the river from St Paul's to Tower Bridge in early evening - a lovely way to end the day!
