Crew Frivolous
Ken, Beau and James had launched the big Noosa Cat last night and we were to meet them at Barred Creek Beach at 7am this morning. After taking a couple of wrong turns and having Janette show us her 4wd skills we made it to the beach around 7:30am.
We had to walk out into the water about waist deep (higher if the waves got you) and then with much laughter we climbed aboard the big cat.
We were on the search for sailfish today and cruised around on quite a rough sea for a few hours. Unfortunately we didn't hook up with any fish but we were lucky enough to spot a few whales, a dolphin, a turtle and a couple of sea snakes.
The boat was fairly rocking and bouncing around but somehow Wendy managed to have a sleep in the cabin and said it was the best sleep she had had since leaving home.
We motored back in closer to shore where it was so much calmer and cooked up bacon and eggs before jumping back in the water and making our way back to shore.
