Today is Monday and it's finally time to head out of Broome. We said our farewells to Sam, Ken, Janette and the kids, we were so grateful for the lovely time they showed us in our 2 week visit.
We didn’t really have a plan of where we were going to get to but headed off down the road towards Port Hedland. We drove into 80 Mile Beach at 2.30pm and decided that was enough for one day. It was a beautiful grassy caravan park but incredibly busy. The beach was fantastic so we decided we would stay 2 nights. You can’t move south too quickly. It looked a good place to fish. We had a relaxing afternoon consuming a few quiet beers and a number of shots then heading to bed.
We woke up to a relaxing morning. High tide wasn’t until 2.00pm so there was no rush to get up and fish. We just sat around sorting out photos, reading and just generally ginning around. The boys went fishing but to no avail. The beach was so crowded with people fishing and nobody seemed to catch anything. The weather was 32 C and perfect for the beach. After another sunset viewing for Joe and Jen we just had another quiet night.
