Once again, sorry I am so behind. I've been busy trying to finish up my school work for this past week. So here it goes: Last friday we did end up going to play pool. Four of us went to a pool hall (which by the way is much different from ours at home). It ended up being really fun and I even beat James!! Ed and AJ are real good players so they helped out by giving me pointers. Afterwards, I went to bed Saturday - I woke up, had lunch, watched Top Gun, and then showered. James decided he wanted to cook dinner so he cooked for me and another girl in the hall...it was pretty good and much more healthy than the crappy dining hall food we always eat. After dinner, I got ready and we all headed to the union club. When we got there though the queue was so unbelievably long. We waited for 25 minutes and everyone had no coats on so we were freezing...after that long, we were only half way to the door so we decided just to go back to the hall and hang out. Dan was awesome and tried to keep me warm...and for the first time, I saw stars at night in England. Normally it is overcast. You could see the big dipper so clearly! It was really neat. We all sat in the kitchen talking for a long time, and then everyone went to bed and Dan and I talked some more. Finally, I went to bed. Sunday - I woke up and noticed Amy was back from Spain!! YAY!! We talked some, went to lunch, and then took naps (as usual). We pretty much just had a lazy Sunday. We ordered chinese for dinner and then watched the first two episodes of the bachelor that Amy's dad sent her. Then I talked online a bit before going to bed. Monday - We woke up, went to class, and did laundry. While we were waiting for our clothes, Amy and I went walking to try and get some sort of exercise. It was actually kind of nice. We went to lunch and then of course, took our daily nap! I read most of the time though. I showered, had dinner, and then got ready. Amy and I were meeting a bunch of girls from our corridor for drinks to celebrate Geraldine's birthday. After that, we went to Ice Bar and danced for a while. Haha...when the Baywatch song comes on at a bar, all the guys here take their shirt off. Well the song came on and everyone had no shirt on all of a sudden. It was hilarious. Amy and I left kind of early and came back to the hall to go to sleep. Tuesday - I woke up, showered, and went to lunch. Then read some more of my book, attempted to do some homework, and took a nap. We then went to dinner. After dinner I finished my book (it was really good) and then went to bed. Wednesday - Amy and I went to insects class and then we did research for our paper due on Friday. We had lunch and then went to sleep. Before dinner I showered, then ate, and got ready because its Wednesday and that means out to the union night! We met up with the boys and went to the club. It wasnt very crowded for once so we went into the bar area and watched some football for a bit. Then we stood around talking. Eventually, we ended up dancing. After we got back to the hall Dan, Ed, James, Amy, and I got some pizza (Istanbul has the best pizza and we pretty much crave it all the time!). Then Dan and I stayed up talking again which was nice. Finally I went to sleep. Thursday - I was lazy and layed around in bed until 11:30 at which time I showered. Amy and I went to lunch and our class, then took our traditional nap. After dinner I wrote my paper due the next day and prepared for my test a little bit and went to bed...not the most exciting of thursdays I know. Friday - I woke up, showered, studied, went to lunch, studied, turned in my paper, and then took a test in Human Disease class. By the time the test was over, it was just about dinner time so we ate and then showered. That night we went with the guys to the pool hall again and then to a bar called Wetherspoons. It was fun but Amy and I werent up for a late night. When we got back to the hall, we knocked on Dan's window and talked to him for a while. At which point two girls in another room started making fun of us for being American and talking in an American accent. It was pretty rude but what can you do...some people just dont like Americans...but I decided to chalk it up to jealousy lol. jk! We then went to bed. Saturday - I woke up not feeling too well. My throat hurt pretty bad but I figured it was from the air...and I kind of felt like I had a fever. I went back to bed hoping to wake up and feel better...at first I didnt but then I did. So Amy and I met James and Steve at a Rugby match. Old rugby players came back to play the current teams so that was fun. Then we got a bite to eat. When we got back to the hall, I was feeling bad again so I went to sleep. I woke up a couple hours later and knew I had a fever. I borrorwed Amy's thermometer and sure enough...101.7. Sick again but this time I am really quite mad about it since it is my last week here. I am determined to get better so I can enjoy myself this week. I took some medicine and went back to sleep until around 7:30 when Amy ordered us some food. I just got soup though and I took medicine so I was feeling better. Amy and I then watched Sound of Music. Amy then went to bed...I attempted to but it didnt work too well. Today - I finally fell asleep around 3ish but only slept untili 5:30 and have been up ever since tossing and turning. My throat hurts really bad but my fever was down to just 99.7. I took my temperature a couple minutes ago and its 98.6! Yay!! Hopefully it stays that way and I just have some dumb virus that goes away quickly. If I still feel bad tomorrow I am going to the doctor! Well, I hope all is well at home. Its weird to think this is my last week and I will be home soon. It will be sad to leave but I am quite excited about seeing you all!! Love and miss you...
