Angie's Trip to England
Hi =) So today was a pretty good day! Got up at 6:30 had breakfast...which by the way was not very good but they consider it their best meal...scary! Then went to orientation for new international students. That was very encouraging! We learned Reading is a party school and Brits are very shy until they are drinking but you generally have to make the first move and then they will include you in everything. There Amy and I met a girl, Sophie, from Germany who is very nice and a guy, Luca, from Italy (who is very hot)! We met a lot more people but those two are who we talked with the most. Luca told me my name (Angela) is an italian name like the male version Angelo and like an Angel...which is what he is calling me from now on haha...aww!!
We figured out our schedule...its something like Tues 1-2, Wed 9-1, Thur 1-6, Fri 9-1. Not too bad. Also, there is a group trip to Edinburgh Scotland in two weeks we are going on so that is exciting.
After orientation, Amy and I went to the Reading town center which is absolutely amazing. Shops and food everywhere (including mcdonalds, burger king, and subway)! We spent over an hour in their drug store looking at all the different products haha. And hot english boys galore...and let me tell you, me and my frizzy disgusting hair from the rainy weather turned tons of heads...in the other direction...haha! We unfortunetly then didnt know how to get home so we caught the same bus we took and it took an hour instead of 15 minutes so we ended up missing dinner =(
We were going to go to the pub and try to meet people but jet lag is still being an issue! Definitely tomorrow. Its still hard being here without knowing anyone...esp with everyone being so shy, its hard to make friends. But its getting easier and I am excited for the next couple months...unfortunetly, I doubt I will want to leave here...except to see you all =) Love and miss you all!!
