Angie's Trip to England
Wow its been a while?Sorry! Tuesday after we got back from Paris, Amy and I did laundry and had dinner. Then we went down to the boys hall because the missed us to death when we were gone haha. I had a very fun night actually doing pretty much nothing. We ordered pizza and then Si, Steve, Ed, and I tossed the rugby ball a bit (Amy and James watched a movie). I am proud to say I am getting much better at throwing the ball. Then Simon asked me to do a ball handling trick which I did so I asked them to do one of my basketball tricks which none of them could do haha. For the rest of the night Ed, Steve, and I kicked around the soccer ball and then they taught me kickboxing techniques. It was actually really fun.
Wednesday we didn?t have class but we had to meet with our Ecology professor so he could teach us about trees on campus. What fun. After our walk around the lake, we had lunch and then took naps instead of going to Simons rugby match and kickboxing like planned. After dinner we got ready and met up the boys before going out to the union. They had an 80?s themed night so some of them were dressed up haha (look at the pics). See here, groups of people will have a ?social? in which they dress up according to some theme and then go to the bar. They do pretty much everything like ?dress as your mum night? or playboy bunnies, etc. Its funny. We had a good time at the union as usual. We all came back early and hung out for a bit?then the guys went to Istanbul grille (a takeaway food place) to get food so we went to bed.
Thursday we woke up, went to class, then took our Ecology test which Amy and I both thought was pretty easy. We then had lunch and of course the tradition continues, after lunch we took naps. We woke up for dinner then studied a bit because we had another test on Friday. For a study break we met up with the guys down at the Swan for an hour or so but then we came back up to the room to study more. Amy of course fell asleep (she sleeps more than old people!) and I stayed up studying a bit and playing online as usual.
Friday I woke up, studied, had lunch, studied, went to class, and then took our test. We did ok I guess but were the first ones done so I guess that could be a bad thing. It was dinnertime when we got back to the hall so we ate and then just hung out in our rooms for a bit. Later we went down to visit the guys and had every intention of just hanging out for an hour or so and then coming back up to experiment with how to wear out hair to the ball on Tuesday. But Ed was watching The Contender (he downloaded all the episodes?it?s a reality boxing show) and we sat down to watch a couple minutes?well Amy and I ended up being so hooked on the show that we watched 5 episodes with Ed. Chris and Dan also watched for a bit. It was fun!
Saturday was a good day. We got to sleep in finally! Then we showered, got ready, went to lunch (which was absolutely disgusting by the way) and then headed to the pub with the guys to watch rugby games. France and Ireland played first and the dreaded French won. Then England played Italy and it was a really good came?close for a while but England won! Amy and I decided we are going to buy rugby jerseys to wear when we watch the games from now on. After the games we walked back to the hall where James cooked us dinner and it was amazing! So much better than our dining hall food haha. Then we got ready and Steve, James, Amy, and I went to the union club?everyone else was being boring except Si who was already there. We hung out at a table and just talked all night which was nice. We left late and went back to the hall where we of course got Istanbul grill?yum! I ended up eating it twice actually because Simon and some other guys ordered more food and I was still hungry (today I feel pretty fat, big surprise there).
As always, Sunday is a chill day. We are supposed to be down in James? room with the guys watching the Wales vs Scotland rugby game right now but oh well, we?ll just be late. Later we are going with Steve to kickboxing and then going to the all-you-can-eat Indian buffet for dinner. I hope everything is going well at home. I still miss you all so much! Amy and I are finding that we talk in an accent every now and then and its really funny. We also use a lot of British words now which we find exciting as well. We have a big week coming up. Tuesday is the Valentines Day Ball and Wednesday mom and dad get here!!! Friday we go to London for the weekend with them which will be great. Oh I will be (and may have already by the time you read this) uploaded some more pictures so check them out. Love you all.
