Angie's Trip to England
Edinburgh is simply breathtaking. I am not sure I can describe to you how beautiful it really is. We left friday night at 11 pm and drove over night arriving at 8 am. Ate breakfast (a chocolate croissant from starbucks haha) and walked around for a bit. Then we met (there were a 106 people with our group) and walked to Edinburgh castle. Unfortunetly before even entering, I discovered my battery is low on my camera =( so most of the pictures I have are taken by Amy. The castle was like heaven. It was so amazing and so interesting. Next we were checked into the hostels and were free to do what we wanted. So we had lunch at a little Italian place and it was the best Italian food I've ever had. Then we walked and walked and walked some more to try and see everything we could. Once it started to get dark we got our baggage and went to see the scary rooms that awaited us. Mine wasnt too terrible but Amy's was awful. We were on separate floors and had to share showers and bathrooms with boys...eww! Haha. Anyways. We showered and went to dinner then met up with some people at a bar called the Three Sisters. It was a nice place, big with tons of people. I ended up talking to a guy named James most of the time (he came with us from Reading). He was really sweet and funny. When we left the bar, we went for a walk down the Royal Mile which was pretty fun and then I finally went to sleep around 4. Sunday, I woke up, showered, and got a small breakfast. Then we walked down to the other end of Royal Mile (one end is Edinburgh castle) to the Hollyrood Palace. We didnt know this but that is actually where the Queen stays when she comes to Scotland! Unfortunetly we didnt have enough time to take the tour...which I was pretty upset about. So we walked back, ate at the Italian place again (YUM), got on the bus, and now we're back to Reading.
Amy and I have actually been having a touch time. Last night and this morning we were very sad after coming home from Edinburgh. Not exactly sure why that is. Maybe just because it was so amazing but I know we had such a good time. But now I am sitting here thinking I really miss home and all you guys. I wish more than anything you could be here with me. Its great. The Scotland pictures are up and I also added a couple to the week 2 album! Hope you like them! We had about a hundred more pictures but thats too many to put on here...anyways. Love and miss you!
