You will all be pleased to know that I still am alive, sorry I haven't been updating this very much. I am now going to do make a concerted effort. Today is pancake day… yey! The people in work don't understand the idea of pancake day, they are missing out I feel. To uphold the tradition I forced Daniel and Ian to partake in pancake night. I must say the batter turned out very well, but the pancakes were slightly deformed.
There has been a bit of a curfuffle in the house this week! Yesterday morning it all kicked off. The foster kids who were staying in the house ( joys godchildren) , finally admitted to taking Leslie (my room mates) phone card. Apparently the boy took it to give it to his girlfriend. Anyway at 6am on Monday morning the house were treated to the most fowl languaged argument I have ever heard in my life… over the intercom I may add, as the children argued over who had taken the card. So that was nice! Anyway the children have now left the house, I guess its not practical to try and bring children into a share house so the children are now back in care. I feel sorry for them because at the end of the day they at least admitted it, and I would have felt better if we had had to leave and the children been given the stable environment. So now in our house we have
Me - obviously
Lesley- My Scottish roomy
Andie- from queensland
Ian- from England . . . . mums blind date when he goes back to the UK.
Daniel- Student studying translation
Jeff- from Malaysia
Jo ping- from asia somewhere
Ay up - the Turkish guy who says "yes"to everything and has slightly phsycotic tendencies
……So its all fun and games!
Yesterday was Sunday so I went to church J, cant believe its going to be lent this week madness! I have to say its very weired to be in church praying for rain!
After that I just had to get out of the house so A flat mate Dan and I went to the OSAKA Japanese festival in the gardens near parliament station. Dan studies Japanese translation so had a reason to go… I just tagged along. It was actually really good, lots of people there. There was the usual festival stuff like dancing, martial arts but the highlight was the Japanese tea ceremony. The tea appreciation society would be proud I feel. It was nice to actually do something rather than sit around the house/ go to work!
Umm yeah so that's my life so far! I hope to go away this weekend to ocean grove( the beach house on the great ocean road). It will be nice to get away from the house for a bit.. its getting a bit claustrophobic!
