Today I felt in need of doing something cultural. I still haven't found work so my new plan of action is to enjoy these few weeks, but then maybe work a bit harder when I do find a job to recoup funds. It was only 38 deg today which made sightseeing easier.
The guys and I decided to go up the Eureka Tower, which is the highest public view point in the southern hemisphere. We got the lift up the 88floors and were greeted with views over the whole of Melbourne. It was worth the money, even if it did give some of the guys a bit of vertigo. We could see all the tennis courts where the Aus Open is staged and all the other sights in Melbourne
After that we walked along the South Bank and came across some very exciting tents. It was a Chinese market celebrating the yea rof the ox. There are hundreds of Asian people in Melbourne so it is no wonder that there was such a big event going on. It was quite nice just to walk through the market e.t.c just fel good to not be stuck in house really.
When I got home I went to the outdoor pool which is just 800m down the road. I am not a waterbaby at all normally but this pool is so refreshing that I just love it. And it is only £1.50 to get in for the day. It is my new thing and its not so snobby as the one in Sydney so I don't feel like an imposter when I try to do some laps!!!
