Well guys, firstly I am still alive! - for those of you who don't get what I mean there has been a bit of a natural disaster in Victoria lately which is effecting the people here big time.
The recent extreme weather (46degrees yesterday) and northerly winds have caused the worst bush fires in history. Over 100 people have tragically died. At first I must admit that I thought that people were just unprepared for the fires, but I think really nobody stood a chance against them because literally ball of fire flew through the air.
The weather is having other effects to. For example the trains service just went t*** up. It took me 1 hour and 45 mins to get home the other day, also the power keeps going off. The heat was just crazy it actually took my breath away. Unfortunately because of the fires my wine tasting is called off!
Today it was 20 degrees colder, I actually had to get out a jumper. Bella from work took me out to experience St.Kilda festival. Both Ackland Street and Fitzroy Street were all shut off the area was filled with indie stalls, street artists and BEAutiful people strutting. ABI if your reading this then you would have been in your element! Some of the music was actually really good, I didn't get to see the main stage but I hear Janet Jackson was playing…not quite in line with the festival vibe hich was just really chilled. I loved it. Also I finally got to ride the "BIG DIPPER" in the Lunar Park- it was not exactly space mountain but it was so rewarding to finally just get into the Lunar Park.
But it was Sophie's last day in Melbourne which was really sad…. I will miss you Sophie. I enjoyed our people watching sessions! Now I will just have to people watch on my own L . So now I have to get down to the actually living part. I always said I was coming to Australia to live, but the last few weeks have been so exciting that I think it will be hard to wind down.
