We were up at 6am today ahhh!
We set of for the most Southernly point of Australia. The only thing about Australia is that everywhere is so far apart so you need to get up ridiculously early to just get to places at a decent time.
When we arrived at Wilsons Promintory we just drove through thepark for a little bit until we reached the carpark of the camp sight. This place was amazing, it was surrounded by huge green mountains and had such a perfect beach. I swear if you came camping here then you would never go to the Gower again. We did a short walk to a look out point where we sat and had lunch. The sea was so blue and it was really peaceful just so beautiful ahhh I realise im babbling but seriously it was lovely. We then headed on down to squeaky beach which was deserted like a private island. Its called squeaky beach because the sand is pure silicone so squeaks as you walk on it. We spent a little while just relaxing there, I didn't go in the sea because the sea temperature was only 10oC.
So then we headed off to Melbourne. As we began to approach Melbourne the big Australian open signs reminded us why the traffic was so bad, I don't think there is a street in the City Centre which doesn't have a Tennis emblem on it. The city is tennis mad!
For those of you that don't know I have found somewhere to stay in Melbourne. Its in an area called Glen Huntly which is about 30 mins from the Central Business District and 10 mins from St.kilda. It's a nice little suburb relatively quiet with just a few Chinese shops and cafes at the end of the road. I live in a house which is owned by a couple who rent out the rooms. Everyone in the house is free to come and go as you please so I don't even know everyone who lives here. The best way to describe it is like on friends where they share an apartment but people do their own thing. Those who I have met seem really nice. The only downside is that there is no Wi- fi I wish now that I had bought a portable wireless device so I could go online more. I felt really odd the first night I arrived, I think it hit home to me that this was no longer a holiday but I will be ok when I get settled I am sure.
Ohh and I forgot to say that my room has pink cushions!!
