We weren't too sure about the Pine Grove Caravan Park at first... Considering it was smack bang in the middle of an industrial area and had negative reviews on WikiCamps but it's all we could get into as it was the Anzac Day long weekend and we hadn't booked anything. (whoops!) Turns out, it was a really nice park for a fraction of the price of others.
After we set-up and got settled in, we went for a drive into the main town area and were greeted by a little port with amazing granite islands in the distance and a stunning foreshore precinct. That night, we settled in for an early night as we were to rise early the next morning.
5:30am the alarm clock was ringing. Our first dawn service out of Victoria ... Lest We Forget! At the conclusion of the service we were treated to a stunning sunrise across the inlet. Lets just say it's the first one we have been awake for since the start of the trip!
It was then we decided to go back and have a liitle bit of sleep in (with Judy!) After a quick kip it was out to Cape Le Grande National Park where we ended up spending the remainder of our days. (See next blog, it deserves its own blog post.... AMAZING!!)
Upon leaving Esperance Tara had the grand idea of checking out the Pink Lake on the way out of town.... Well she thought Tristan said he wanted to see it (which he did!!) Lets just say it was a bit of a flop... off to Hyden we headed, from the Pink Lake... Again Google maps added in a slight 35km detour back into town. But we did get to see Twilight Bay which was very beautiful.
The weather was pretty ordinary at this stage...wind, rain and everything in between.
Off we went- Hyden bound.
Bye Esperance! xx
