Happy 29th Birthday Tara!!!

As we pulled out of Cocklebiddy we (well Tristan) were (was) pleasently suprised by a pair of Wedgetail eagles perched in an old dead tree. Seeing the two perched together within metres of the road was an absolute specticle. Even Tara was pretty impressed by their beauty and shear size.

As Larry pounded the asphalt and the Km's, we both wondered if we would see any Kangaroos, Camels or the odd Emu as all the signs had suggested. We... well Tara was most looking forward to seeing a Camel, as we had not seen any as yet, when all of a sudden there they were... A herd of Camel in the distance! Tara was suitably impressed by our sighting. Then not too far down the highway we spotted a couple of Emus drinking at a dam.

We also saw a couple of Dingos along the way having a drink from the puddles created by the rain earlier in the day. At one point we saw what looked to be a Dingo from a distance, but as we got closer it seemed to look like more a kelpie but bigger...We were going stop and joked about being like Red Dog (the movie), but we think it may have been a wild dog.

As the number on the sign to Norseman drew small and then into single digits we knew that the Nullarbor crossing was drawing to an end.

Norseman: Well...... Yep........ Um........... Hmmmm............
