Larrawa Station, Halls Creek- Tara’s favourite shower in 5 months of travel!
Halls Creek, Western Australia
After spending our last night in Broome and our first night back in Judy after 2 weeks in a cabin, it was time to hit the road to start making our way to Darwin. It was a bit sad knowing that in just a few days we would be leaving the beautiful WA in search of new territory to discover… No pun intended! After hitting the Great Northern for the 3rd, or was it the 4th time...who knows, we had again passed through Fitzroy Crossing. We had seen an aboriginal artwork at the gallery when we were there with Ronn and Sandy, but Tristan being the sort of person he is, decided we wait. As we went into the gallery we noticed that the artwork was no longer in its original spot on the wall. After a quick look around we decided to ask. So it goes…the artist was unknown, the artwork had been there for many years with little to no information… and she had just sold in an hour before. So we picked ourselves up out of the disappointment and found a beautiful carved boab… a reminder of our time in the Kimberley.
We decided that night to pull up at a farm stay. Larrawa was a working station with the best hot showers we have had so far. Tara is still raving about it! After a hot night it was back on the road. Kununurra bound.
