Last night i had my tea and just crashed, was asleep before 8 i think. Great...altho my stupid alarm on my watch went off at 4am!! i dont no how it was set but it woke me. anyway i got back to sleep and then got up at 7 o get myself and my lunch ready for orange picking. We set off and got there around 10. When we arrived we were told that we were picking manderins. They are obviously smaller than an orange and the 'bins' are the same size altho you get $55 for these bins. Jackpot. Unlike oranges, we didnt have to wear gloves and we used pruners to cut the manderins off the trees as we if we pulled on them they would rip. However, i figured a technique were i could just pull them off as this was quicker than using the clippers. i filled a bin after about 3-4hours and then i was unsure what to to. i new that i wouldnt have time to fill one more before we went back and i didnt want to start another incase i wasnt going back the next day. One of the girls only half filled her bin and then said her back was sore and wanted to go back- so i thort about filling her bin up and getting half of the wage but then someone said if she came back the next day and carried on she may get all the wage. SO, i sat in the sun for an hour or so. Oh, i forgot to say. it was even hotter again today so i made the most of it. When 'roy' came back after we had finished he said 'you guys finish off that bin that the girl started and u will get an extra $9' Typical, i could have earnt an extra $27 but never mind. Then we came back and ive just had a left over sausage bake thing.

I forgot to mention that the other day at the pumpkin factory we spotted a red back spider, i just killed it and got on but the german guy i was with was more worried. Then yesterday he found THREE more. Obviuously the aussys dont pay much attention to them but it isnt them puuting their hands into the spiders house!! Anyway, today as im in and out of the trees i came across countless spiders. Theree black and white and vary in size (some are quite big actually) but i looked online and i dont think they are deadley...touch wood!

I had a call from the plumber today saying that he had work for me on thursday and friday and at the moment monday next week so that is good. It is even better as i found out today it definatly does count towards my visa!! And, when chatting to the boss man today he realised i was a chef and said that there may be a job goin in a restaurant in the city which would count towards my visa so if that comes up i may give it ago!!!
