Very early departure from lovely Kununurra today as on Ross' recommendation, we have decided on a long haul into the West Kimberley and to spend 2 nights at the Fitzroy Crossing Lodge Caravan Park. Day 37. Up early as we are getting picked up for our flight on a float plane with Kimberley Air. Adam our young pilot was so friendly and knowledgable on the East Kimberley region. We flew at about 2,500 metres over massive blue Lake Argyle to the Bungle Bungles in Purnululu National Park. Hundreds of beautiful red, orange and black domes resembling rounded beehives. Day 36. Today the Prado has been dropped off at Kununurra Toyota for a mid trip service. Breakfast at a local cafe then a lazy day reading and washing. We have discovered that a rest day occasionally is good for re-charging and the shore of Lake Kununurra on a Monday is just the place! Day 35. Lazy Sunday morning, bacon and eggs on the barbie. Just before lunch we were picked up at our van park by a comfy bus as today we are cruising with Triple J Cruises 55km down the mighty Ord River back to Lake Kunnunurra in their very fast boat. Day 34. Up early to the Kunnunurra Markets in the town park. Bought a big paw paw for later while Raechel bought some unusual zebra rocks. A big day trip of 300km today to visit El Questro Station and Resort for morning tea and later Wyndham. On the way we detoured down a dusty track into Zebedee Springs for a wonderful soak in the 33 degree natural hot springs flowing into small plunge pools amongst the grove of Livistona palms.
