Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
We went to Mossman Gorge this morning which you buy a ticket on a shuttle bus which takes you 2km up the road to the walking track entrances. We only did one walk which was quite short (540m). It was a nice spot and you really notice the moistness in the air. It looked similar to the
national parks we have visited but there was noticeably more water.
We spotted a Boyd's Forest Dragon but that was it...maybe its the noisy boys because we still haven’t seen much wildlife.
A change from our planned itinerary due to bad weather and track closures, we crossed the mountain range and headed to Laura to start the Cape York Peninsula trip early. Driving from Lakeland to Laura the landscape was not what I envisaged at all. There were big mountains at a distance to either side of us and the roads were hilly, climbing and weaving through the ranges.
