Today we hung around the Lion's Den. The boys played in the creek and helped wash all the dirt of the camper and their bikes. Matt and I went up to the pub at night as they had a live band playing as part of the long weekend celebration.

We were going to travel south through that way after here but decided it would be best to do it as a day trip and leave the camper behind. We drove past Black Mountain which almost looks like a dump heap but it is actually quite interesting. It started as hard granite rock but got fractures which allowed water in. This caused a chemical reaction, softening the granite into a soft clay. This clay was washed away leaving large rectangle granite rocks and weathering has rounded them.
