We had a canoe on the lake (for free :-)) this morning before having some very nice cocktails and milkshakes for the kids) followed by a nice burger for lunch. We had another swim in the pool in which there were 3 sections. The warmest was also the shallowest which made it great for the kids. I love this place and would recommend to come here to anyone passing by. As well as being a beautiful spot, it is a well run business trying hard to please its customer...

We left the kids with the grandparents again to enjoy a 3 hour Cobbold Gorge tour. After a 4wd bus ride, it was followed by an hour bushwalk accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. We learnt some interesting things, one being that the aborigines would collect hairy wattle leaves (which were very soft) to do their fishing. They would make a dam wall in a river to trap the fish then rubbed the leaves vigourously together and put them in the water. The toxins released...

This morning we drove out to Cobbld Gorge Via Einasleigh. We stopped at Copperfield Gorge which was really nice. It is the end of the Undara lava flow. We saw a green tree snake....looking a bit out of place amongst all the rocks. Cobbold Gorge was our next camp and the road out was mostly corrugated with some good patches.
