Katharine woke up and sorted the dog out this morning so I thought I had scored a lie in until Tally decided otherwise, trying repeatedly to jump on our bed! I took her outside for a play and pulled my shoulder for the second time in a week - I think I'm getting too old for the caravan and my body is saying it's time to go home!!! I went back to bed with a hot water bottle and Katharine and Anna decided to do all the chores for the rest of the day. I suggested they start with their beds but they were already bored with that idea and had run off to the river again!! Our neighbours moved on while we were having breakfast and it was great to have our corner back to ourselves. We decided to enjoy the space and spend the rest of the day around the camp. We spent the morning doing schoolwork but it was a chore for all of us today and I don't think we achieved very much. Nick made us all lunch and then the kids had another swim in the river. Nick ended up going in too as Anna lost her thong and it got lodged in a fallen tree branch. While Nick was trying to cross the river Jonny jumped in and grabbed it by walking upstream so Nick got wet for nothing! We lit the fire early so that everyone could get dry and warm up and afternoon tea was toasted marshmallows. We spent the rest of the afternoon packing up a little bit while the kids played and then had an early dinner. Everyone had a good scrub and hair wash with the last of the water before a game of Gubs and bed.
