Happy Birthday Grace! xx Tally woke me up at 5am and then 630 am and refused to go back to sleep so we sat outside and played and didn't really care if it disturbed our neighbours. It didn't take long before Matty, Anna and Jonny joined us so we had a few games of Gubs before sticking the generator on and making coffee. We spent the morning doing schoolwork again and the kids managed to cover all their topics quite quickly today, desperate to get back to their game by the river. After lunch we decided to let the dog have a swim as it was beautiful sunny day and it didn't take long for the kids to strip down to their undies and jump in too. The dog loved it until she got out of her depth and went under, having to be hauled out by Katharine - some Labrador she is!! We spent the rest of the afternoon reading and relaxing, watching the kids get in and out of the water. As it got cool we lit the fire with wood the kids had raided from newly vacated sites and had toasted marshmallows for dessert, but as it got dark we moved inside as we were sick of stopping the dog from running next door!!
