We all had a fantastic night's sleep apart from the poor dog who spent the night sneezing again, having spent the afternoon sleeping in the long grass. Nick got up with her around 630am and then put her into bed with us so that he could go back to sleep and before we knew it, it was 830am! It was a beautiful sunny day. We spent the morning doing schoolwork and the kids were quite focused considering we had had almost a week off. Nick made up a times table game for the three smaller ones and they all really enjoyed it and wanted to play for a lot longer. The afternoon was spent reading again while the kids played in the river and then we tried to go for a walk but after about 10 minutes everyone wanted to turn around and go home, including the dog!! Nick made us all dinner, which we ate around the campfire and then the kids had to have another shower as they had spent the afternoon making mud pies. Once Matty, Jonny and Anna were fast asleep we watched a DVD with Katharine and then read until she was asleep. It's magic here listening to the river as you drift off - and the possums!! It felt like we had only just fallen asleep when we were woken by thunder and lightening. I went outside to make sure nothing could get wet and brought the towels in and then both of us sat and listened to the storm, which seemed to take forever to pass. I eventually went to sleep dreaming of flash flooding and emergency move-on's to higher ground!!
