We browsed the Broome shops this morning then drove up to Cape Leveque. The 200km road is sealed for the first 10km and the last 100km. The 90km in between is sandy and has been graded often, pushing the sand to the sides, so at times you feel like you are driving in a deep dry river bed. No wonder they close the road when it rains. Our last day hiking and swimming at Karijini NP. Today we walked down the Knox Gorge where Josh had a swim. Josh is keen to swim wherever there is water! We met a tour group about to raft down the gorge and abseil. The boys were really keen to do such a trip but the minimum age is 12. This morning we went for a tour around Tom Price open cut Iron ore mine. The boys found it really interesting and the Tonka toys were enormous! This afternoon we drove out to Hammersley Gorge and swam for a couple of hours. The grotto is an amazing cave in the rocks with a waterfall into it.
