We following the telegraph track for 3 hours, a 4WD track that follows the old telegraph poles and passes through salt pans and thick scrub. We stopped to look at the old telegraph station ruins near Israelite bay (photo) - it was 37degrees outside!
We then drove on to Point Malcolm and set up camp in a lovely protected camp area - we had the place to ourselves. Rusty and Craig had gone further down the beach for some night fishing.
