We spent last night at the Silent Grove camping area, 10km south of Bell Gorge. The last 2 camping areas we stayed at are looked after by NP Rangers, they have clean septic toilets and solar-powered hot showers. It costs $26 per family per night. Last night we drive to Windjana Gorge NP and set up camp. This morning we explored the gorge - the rocks here are from an ancient reef (Devonian Reef). It is quite beautiful and this morning we saw Freshwater crocodiles sunning on the edge of the creek. Wow wow wow. What a fantastic day! We got up early, got coffee and drove across the Derby jetty; then onto the Derby airport for our 8:30 Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventure! The tour started with a 30 minute flight on a 14 seat seaplane and I sat in the cockpit for this trip to Talbot Bay near the Falls. We left Cape Leveque after a quick visit to the Cygnet bay pearl farm - the oldest pearl farm in Australia - 75 years. Another bumpy ride down the cape Leveque road and on to Derby, home of the Boab tree. We are staying at the Kimberley Entrance Caravan Park. I just had the best shower!! Great clean amenities become quite important on a trip like this - not a necessity but lovely when found!

Jeff and the boys went on a spear-making and spear-fishing guided tour today. It was $99 for the 3 of them for 6 hours with a local, Bundy. They came back with a fish for dinner (Golden Trevally) and lots of great knowledge ie. finding fresh water near the ocean. They all said it was a fantastic tour. I spent the day around the campsite, some much needed time to myself. At dusk we went for a family walk around the rocks on the beach.
