We have spent 2 nights camping on Perlubie Beach. The tide mark varies greatly so we had to camp close to the embankment to avoid getting wet at high tide. There are a few mice around and they got to the Easter chocolate last night, in the kitchen drawer - must work out how they got in! We arrived at Streaky Bay yesterday afternoon to discover the caravan park was fully booked out! We paid $4 per person to use their amenities and had our first real shower in 4 days. The water here is 80% artesian, 20% Murray. We then found a camp on Perlubie Beach (20km north). Today we are having lunch overlooking the pier at Streaky Bay (photo) - a beautiful prawn Caesar salad. Kaidan just had his hair cut at KC hairdressers.

The drive from Port Lincoln up the west coast of the Eyre Peninsula is beautiful. The magnificent coastline is very rugged south of Streaky bay. We stopped along the way to take in views such as the Woolshed Caves (photo), Talia Caves and Murphy's Haystacks.

This morning the boys found a few Easter eggs left by Easter Bunny around our camper. We then headed out on our first 4WD adventure to the Sleaford -Wanna Dunes. It was fun driving around the dunes but the boys had more fun sliding down the dunes on boogie boards. They wore goggles to stop the sand getting in their eyes. This morning we drove into Whyalla, we passed a huge wartime ship on the side of the road which is a Maritime Museum so we stopped for our first "tourism" visit. It was interesting and the boys loved exploring the old ship. We then drove down the east Coast of the Eyre Peninsula, stopping to do the Mangrove boardwalk at Arno Bay (photo).
