Cranes Aussie Adventure
The Stockyard Gully Caves (photo) are amazing. They are accessible by 4WD only and they are completely not commercialized. The cave was formed by a river cutting through the limestone, the ground in the cave is completely sand and the river runs through the cave after extreme rain. It was dry today! The cave is about 300m long and pitch black dark for most of it. From here we drove north, stopping to see a near-dry salt lake where you could literally pick up lumps of salt. In the afternoon the heavens opened and it poured! We drove through Geraldton and set up camp at Wagoe chalets camp area (it had just stopped raining-yay).
