Yesterday we met up with Kerry and Darryl at Mt. Barnett station and drove to the Campground near the King Edward River crossing.
Today was a huge day, we had got up early, 5:45am and were about to head up to the falls when some girls asked for help- so Jeff and Darryl helped them then we drove the 76km to the Mitchell Falls car park - a 2 hour drive.
The drive was made more enjoyable by talking on the radio with 'Dazza' and 'Kezza'. The boys have new call names 'spud' and 'squid'.
It is 4.3km to the falls via the little Merton falls, big Merton falls and some amazing 30000 year old aboriginal art.
The Mitchell Falls are magnificent. We scrambled over the rocks to get z good view, ate lunch and walked back, jealous of the many people who got a helicopter ride back to the carpark.
On the journey back to the camp ground we saw lots of dingoes who were not afraid of us or the car. Back at camp we caught up with Mark, Jasmine, Max and Tess, much to the boys delight.
