Kya Travels
When we woke up today, we showered and got ready to go out, then ended up just hanging out for ages. We sent out a Facebook message for any London people to try catch up with people today as it would be our last full day of the trip, then just stayed on the couch for ages trying to work up the motivation to head out! We met Hinn's other housemate, Claudio from Brazil, whose nickname was Cloudy, so Darren introduced himself as Sunny. He didn't get it until Darren introduced me as Lightning! It was funny, and Darren was Sunny for the rest of the time. We ended up watching a bunch of Scrubs episodes and eating chips on the couch instead of going out, then walked to the off license and the supermarket for Guinness, a croissant and a pie, and eating back at Hinn's, as Hinn fell asleep on the couch. Eventually we tried to get him to come out, but he decided to stay, so we headed out and got the tube right out to Camden Town. We wandered through the markets, making our way up to where there was a stall with really cool cushion covers that we had seen in our first week of traveling. He wasn't in the same spot, but after a bit we found him, and had a chat to the guy there, who was different to the guy we'd met last time. He was a bit strange and was telling us about how the designs that sell don't get reprinted so they're one of a kind, and that's probably why the cool ones we remembered weren't there anymore, like the Bob Marley dog! After chatting a bit, the proper stall owner came back, and thought he remembered us, and told us everything the other guy had just told us wasn't true! He just didn't have the full selection at his stall! He gave us the website, which we could order from and get them delivered to Australia, which was probably a better option, as they were a bit more expensive than we had remembered!! We thanked him and walked back down the street and went to The Camden Eye, which was the very first pub we had come to with Lyle when we landed in London in May! We shared a drink (they didn't have any Bombardier though, which was the first drink we had together!) and got a photo without Lyle and used the wifi to see if anyone was actually coming out to meet us, which looked unlikely... Oh well, we didn't give much notice to anyone! He headed across to the Worlds End after that, then decided not to get a drink and walked back up the street to find some food. We went to a place called Vinyl Bar were we got a beer and a chimichanga each and had a quiet celebration of our holiday over dinner before heading back to the tube and making our way back to Hinn's. We grabbed some more beers from the off license then went and chilled out and watched TV a while with Hinn. We watched a documentary on the musician Rodriguez called Searching for the Sugar Man, which was pretty good, then watched one about the metal band, Anvil. Hinn went to bed while that one was on, so when it finished Darren and I set up our bed again then put on a cartoon movie called Ponyo (I think!) which was really nice kids show, and went to sleep watching that. So our last night turned into a pretty quiet one in the end!!
