Kya Travels
This morning after our regular sleep in, we got up and got ready, organised our day, then walked down to the supermarket, hoping to find something cheap. Everything was pretty expensive though, so back to the Chicken Spot we went! I got only chips this time and Darren got chicken and chips, then we went back to the hostel to eat. We hung out in the common room for a while, then ended up going back to the room where Darren had a nap and I used the wifi. I finally got up to date with my blog for the first time in ages (well, the writing anyway), and Darren played guitar for a while after he woke up. Eventually we got ready and headed out to go into town again. We walked the hourish trip into Trafalgar Square and went to the big blue c*** again, where we met Jess, who we had met on Sail Croatia. We caught up a bit as we walked over to the pub from yesterday, the Chandos, then chatted and joked some more over a beer. After a bit we realised the time, so we quickly finished our beers and headed down to Leicester Square and went to Odeon, the cinema. There was a massive line out the front of the ticket box, so we lined up, and Darren went to suss out if there was another ticket box. He discovered you could buy tickets at the coffee shop next door, so Jess and I went in there while Darren held our spot in the other line, just in case. We got our tickets and headed inside the 'biggest auditorium in Europe', and got our seats. It didn't really seem that big, but there was an upper section we couldn't see, so that must have been bigger. We found our seats and settled in to watch the trailers, while having a chat, and talking to the guy from Belfast who was sitting next to Darren, then the lights went down and we started watching the new Hunger Games movie, Catching Fire. It was so good! I won't say anything about it, except, go see it. (After the first one, of course!) When the movie finished, we left the theatre, after swapping details with Matt from Belfast, in case we were around that area, then headed out into the cold. Jess had to go, as she was working early, so we walked her down to the tube, said goodbye, then went back to Leicester Square looking for something to eat. In the end we wound up at maccas, and got some food. Some drunk English guys ended up sitting next to us, and they were so incredibly racist, it was so bad! And they got in trouble by some random drunk rich girl who wanted some attention, for the one thing they said that wasn't offensive! Oh London! We left at the next opportunity, and made our way home down a different route, to mix it up a bit, and passed some pretty Christmassy streets and went back to the hostel where we went straight up to bed.
