Kya Travels
We slept in late today, then when we woke up we had a message from Saumya. She had accidentally taken the keys to work that she was going to leave for us! We didn't mind though, cos we were happy to have a lazy day, and if we needed to, one of us could stay home to let the other in, so it was all good. I had a shower, then put some washing on, then spent some time sorting my bags a bit and having a cuppa. Darren got ready as well, and had a shower and shave, then when we were ready, went to go out to find a snack for lunch. There was a spare key that Saumya had told me about that she said we could take if we both wanted to go out, so we took that, locked the door then went downstairs. Then we realised we wouldn't be able to get back in anyway, because you need an electronic key, or to be buzzed in, to get in the door of the apartment complex anyway! So Darren headed out and I went back up to the apartment and just hung out a while keeping myself warm. Darren got back with a couple of burgers and chips and we ate and then went back to doing a whole lot of nothing. In the afternoon Saumya came home to rescue us from our house arrest, and we hung out chatting and chilling for a while before getting ready and jumping on a bus out to a pub where Graham and his workmate Ben were having a drink. We had a drink there with them and had a chat for a while, then Elena, the other girl we were hanging out with in Valencia, arrived! We had a chat and a catch up with her then after Ben left, the four of us went to go find something for dinner. The two places across the road that are apparently quite nice were both full, so we headed off for a walk down the street to another place they knew of. After a while of walking, and not finding it, they decided it must have been closed, so we started to head back in the direction of their house. Ely went the other way when we got to a train station, so we said bye to her, then kept walking until we came to a Vietnamese place. The other three shared a spicy calamari entree, which was apparently the best thing ever, and I got some vegetarian gyoza, because it was almost dumplings, and I haven't had them for ages! They were pretty tasty too! But then my main came out, vege Pad Thai, and it was so ridiculously delicious that I have no words to describe it apart from YUM! After we had stuffed our bellies we walked the rest of the way home, stopping at a supermarket for some chocolate, then chilled out in the living room for a while with beer and chocolate and talked for a while before everyone headed to bed.
