Kari goes to Lincoln, England
I got up pretty early today and worked on some journals and then I wanted to do my laundry but first I had to go and get change. That was kind of annoying because the closest place to get change is all the way to the Atrium, but I needed to do laundry so off I went. I got ready for the day and cleaned my room for when Danielle got here. I finished my laundry and worked on the captions on a few more journals before leaving my room. I left early because I wanted to see if I could get a fuse for my converter, I went to an electrical shop and they told me it wasn't the fuse, I had fried my converter all together. Opps!!! I don't know what had happened. After all this I didn't have any time left and had to go straight to the train station to meet Danielle. I stopped at the information desk to ask about train times for the next day when we were going to leave for London.
I am not very fast sometimes. I wanted to be standing on the platform waiting for her when she got off the train. Well I just sat down on a bench and forgot to look at what platform her train was going to drop her off at. So she ended up calling me when she got here, wondering where I was. Oh well. We started off the tour of Lincoln with a walk up steep hill and wandered into the cathedral so she could see the inside of it. You have to pay during the day and it isn't a bad deal if one has time to actually walk around and see stuff, but I knew that we would be pressed for time so at least this way she could get a glimpse. After walking back down steep hill I showed her a little more of the town and we ate supper at a place called Tootsies right next to the river. It was good. Then we walked to spar to get some milk and cereal for the next morning. We headed back to my place and were just sitting there chilling for a while. Before we knew it, it was 10pm and we had planned to meet my flat mates at the glasshouse before 10.30. We had to get a move on if we wanted to have a drink with them before they left. We shared a pitcher and some of them were ready to leave pretty early but a few of them stayed with Danielle and I while we finished our pitcher. Then off to the Cell. We were upstairs and danced for a while. My friend Nick came and we talked to him for a while. Dancing is fun and I usually like the cell but for some reason I was really hot so we went downstairs and were going to get a drink and go back upstairs to the club part. It was such a weird night because they stopped letting people upstairs because it had gotten too full. This never happens at the Cell. So now we couldn't go back upstairs, I had to fight with the bouncer to let me go back upstairs to get my jacket. We decided it was time to go if we were going to get up early the next day.
We walked home with Nick and Elli and sat in the kitchen talking for a while and it ended up being around 3 when we got to bed.
