Kari goes to Lincoln, England
Well I slept in because I didn't have any morning classes. I woke up at 1PM and got ready for the day and headed over to the Atrium - I was there for about an hour before I had to go and meet my instructor for digital media. Well she was busy so I ended up talking to the other guy and he thought it would be ok if I were in the Level 2 class and I wouldn't be behind like Nancy had thought. So then I got to stay for the 3:30 workshop that Paul was teaching and I found out that project proposals are due next week. I have no idea what I am going to do. Paul was really cool and is going to get me handouts from semester A so I can try to catch up in After Effects. I have to go in next week and talk about some things with him but I think it's going to be a fun class - he seems like a fun instructor and the students in there are cool also. After class I was going to go to my read through for a Mid-Summer Night's Dream and was a half hour late cuz of class and they weren't there...so I think that they moved on me. Sad. So I will have to try and catch them next week Tuesday. So then I just went home and hung out. My flatmates told me that they were going to go out around 9 so yeah I was up for it because I had never gone out with them before. We went to the Glasshouse and it was pretty cheap because I got three triples for 5.50. Which is a really good deal. We stayed there until it closed at 11:30. Then we went to The Cell a club, which was playing Indie music that night. The club was really crowded and smokey, but the music was pretty good. My flatmate Elli got head butted by this guy on the side of the head. (ok that didn't make too much sense) A little while later she almost fainted and Viv took her to the bathroom. She texted Steph and said she was going to take her home - I decided that I would go with her because Elli was not on good shape. In the bathroom she almost fainted three times. It took us forever to get her home because we were pretty much holding her up and then we had to keep stopping too. I think when we got home it was around 1:30. We were sitting in her room and she still didn't look well and Viv told her that if she almost fainted again that she was going to call the ambulance. Well she did and Viv was true to her word. I stayed with Elli and found shoes for her and got her purse and everything together. The paramedics got there and asked her a bunch of questions and looked her over and decided that they were going to take her in. Viv and I got to ride in the ambulance with her - it was my first ambulance ride and it was in England. We got to the ER and had to wait for at least 45 minutes. There was this drunk guy passed out on a gurney when we got there and he didn't stay in the waiting area like he was told and kept trying to leave and the nurse was yelling at him - it was kind of amusing and then he came and talked to Elli but I forgot what he said to her. Finally the doctor came and looked at Elli, after lots of questions and checking her eyes and such he told her that there wasn't anything wrong with her, which was a good thing I guess. We took a taxi home and got back around 3PM. I made the mistake of signing onto my computer and talked to people on MSN and Skype until
about 5:30am and by the time I got ready for bed and made it into bed, it was 6AM.
