Kari goes to Lincoln, England
I had workshop for radio at 11am and I was a little worried because we were supposed to get into groups for our big projects and I had been with two groups so far and they were groups of three so I didn't think I could go with either of them for this. The instructor was talking about the project and looks at me and said who are you going to go with and said I could just stay with the group that I had been with the week before. I was really excited about this because of the two groups I have been with; I liked this one the best. That day during workshop we were just supposed to add to our project what we had done the week before. We did an army advert spoof - it was pretty funny and not really a whole lot we could do to change it so we mostly sat there talking about ideas for the upcoming project where we are going to do an experimental song. It should be fun. I like working with Dave, Harry & Danielle.
We had a 45min break before seminar this week. It is normally at 1 but we were having a guest speaker that day so it was later because it was between the two seminar times. So our group walked over to the shed. Dave and I had curly fries and a coke, they were yummy. Then it was time to go to seminar - Gail was really interesting, she had a number of good tips about writing radio adverts. The hour and a half flew by.
I met Sarah in the atrium and we walked up steep hill to have tea. We went to Leslys or something. Sorry I didn't take pictures. It was nice to talk to her and catch up because I hadn't talked to her in a while.
I got back around 6 and just hung out before I headed over to Jason's flat at 8. I was going out with his flatmates and a few other people. I hadn't met Craig before so that was nice getting to know him. I also met a girl from Pennsylvania who is here for the year and her name is Eve. I also met an Australian girl named Kim. They came over and had drinks with us before we left to go to the pubs. We started off at the Cell, continued to a pub whose name I don't remember, were in walkabout for a while and then headed to Ritzys, where I ran into my rugby friends Stacey & Hannah. It was a really good night, I had fun.
