It was Labour Day in WA today so it was bank holiday. This morning we drove into Busselton and went to The Goose for a drink. The Goose is on the beach front and looks out onto the sea and the jetty. A lovely view again!
We set off for Perth about 1:15 and the traffic was pretty bad. So we took the coast road as much as we could to avoid the hordes and eventually arrived at Mandurah. As we hadn't had lunch we found a water side restaurant and had fish and chips. Why do I never remember to ask for a kid's meal?? As you can see from the photo the meal was huge so I only managed half. Nobody needs two big pieces of fish!
After a wander around in very pleasant temperatures we somehow found ourselves at Simmo's. Knowing we can't get them in Perth we just had to partake of one. I am already planning a fitness regime for when I get back!!

Jenny Good to know you have your priorities right, a drink first. Maybe I have it wrong and it was non alcoholic!! Wow the size of your meal. What a waste as fish and chips in a doggy bag aren't that appetising. Noticed it was served with a large portion of salad, a meal in itself. The setting looks fantastic. Rick Stein and Jimmy Doherty both have food programmes coming from Australia. What would they think??? The ice-cream is made of all good things so very healthy!!!!! Continue to enjoy.
