This morning we woke and found the dog curled up asleep between us on the bed! Cute as she is we will not be getting a dog when we get back - chickens are enough to look after!!
Maureen and Vylic had some errands to do in Bunbury so we went with them. There is a lovely Chinese restaurant there and we were going to have lunch there but it was shut. So we ended up in Subway for a snack.
After lunch they took us to see their new house which is right opposite the sea 300m above sea level. We were hoping it would be finished before we arrived but like most projects there have been delays and now it looks like it will be April when they move in. The photo shows the 108 steps to the beach just across the road. The beach was deserted when I went to look and the sand was so clean and there wasn't a soul on the beach as far as my eye could see. Bliss.
The house is two storey so has beautiful views from upstairs. I can't quite imagine what it will look like when it is finished but I am sure it will be fantastic. They are also having a swimming pool which will be superb. I think another trip to Oz in a couple of years will be needed!
At 5:00 Mick and I took Sam for a walk along the beach. She hadn't experienced the sand or water before and was a little hesitant about the sea but I made her paddle and she seemed to enjoy it. Despite the fact she only has little legs I made her run several times to tire her out. The temperature was just right and the sea is so shallow here that it felt warm. Then we were really excited as two stingrays appeared in the shallows very close to the shore. Amazing!
Since we got back Sam has been asleep most of the time. I can't think why!

Jenny & Kim A taste of how the other half live. Fantastic. Tackling the steps alone would keep you fit. Having walked up them after a day on the beach would surely deserve a glass of the red stuff. Did you paddle your feet? If you spend much more time with Sam I am sure that you will weaken. He sounds delightful.
Liz Dogs are great company and good to get yu out walking, but not much fun doing that during our winters!
