Well we are finally heading west and travelled a couple of hundred kilometres yesterday and decided to stop the night at Mt Surprise. We inadvertenly drove into a caravan park that was not the one we were intending to book into. We thought we might meet our friends that travelled with us for a couple of months recently, Ray and Bev, so we asked at the park we inadvertently stopped at and what do you know, they were there. They said they we supposed to have left that day but had done a tour and were tired so decided to stay another day. Unbelievable! We went to a local eatery for dinner and caught up on all their travels and shared ours. It was great catching up with them. They left this morning and we were supposed to be leaving too but just as we were to leave Al had a thought that if we stayed one more day we could do a tour that they were offering cheaper than usual to fill the numbers. So we stayed and did the tour and it was great.

We toured the lava tubes underground - walked through them, climbed up and down lava rocks, and wowed at the amazing colours and sights in the tubes. We had a great time and tomorrow we will move on.....westward ho!!!!
