Sometimes the little gem towns and sites are not often visited. We stayed in a free Rotary Park camp area at Babinda about 30-40km north of Innisfail. It has been raining on the Qld coast for about 10 days and everything is very soggy. This area was large enough for us to park on bitumen and unhook to drive into the little town. We went to a coffee shope (the only one in town) called FJ's for coffee. Quaint little place, see photos. Then we drove up the mountain to The Boulders - huge large very round boulders with lots of rushing water thrashing its way down. Also see photos. This was beautiful. We walked through thick rainforest to get to it and who would have known this was there. Most people travel straight through Babinda because it is just a little town on the way to Cairns. We are so glad we stopped. We took photos of the river beside the camp ground too. Everywhere was very wet but we had a window of clear weather for our outing. Love this place.
