Well who knew we had a TEXAS in Australia! We crossed the NSW/QLD border at a little town called Texas on the Dumerasq River which is currently very low but when flooding covers a huge area. The town relocated because of flooding but apparently it is common for the area we are currently camped in to floor at this time of the year. We are now watching for rain lol.
The cattle are still following us. The ones from our last stop at Bonshaw Weir turned up on our second day here! They are not around us this time as they are on the otherside of the river.
It was my birthday on the 11th and Allen took me (and our new friends) out to dinner at the Hotel. We had a lovely dinner and drinks and put a few dollars in the pokies.
Last night we went to Bingo and I won about times and Allen won one. However the prizes were only $10 and $7 per win. It cost us $48 for the cards/numbers!! It was a fun night and our friends also managed to recoup they outlay. I dont think the bingo mob will want to see us back there as it was our little table calling all the Bingos!
We are moving on from here tomorrow (Friday 14th) but will be travelling back to this area in a week or so as Allen has teed up with a guy here to do some work on the electrics with the car and van. No sure where we will end up tomorrow........watch this space!
