Sunday
It's cloudy and threatening rain today so we get in early and do the washing and hang it on the line. Our plans to have a swim today look like they'll fall through so we talk about some alternatives and decide to go and have lunch at McDonalds. Before we leave I get the washing in as it looks like it's about to pour down.
After lunch Martin and I need to fill up yet again so the Ducks return to camp. I ask about stickers at the servo and are directed to the Information Centre and Historical Society. When we get there it is a full on historical museum of the Mareeba district. I call the Ducks and they head back to town where we spend several hours strolling around the exhibits. I have to say that it is the best exhibit of it's kind that I've seen.
We'd stocked up with cheese, bickies and dips in town so we head back to camp and have this and drinks for dinner. This is our last night together so we talk about all the things we've loved on the he trip - completing the Telegraph Track, getting to the Tip, the croc tent, the falls and Canal Creek. We also talked about the things we won't miss - the red dust, the idiots on the gravel roads and for me the threat of crocs.
