Monday After waiting for The Ducks canvas to dry a bit we left Lions Den and headed for Cooktown. The first stop was Black Mountain lookout along the road to Cooktown and then Grassy Nob lookout right in Cooktown. Martin had to stay with the car at Grassy Nob as there were no car parks at the top so he double parked. There were bricks set into the steps and landing that were 'sponsored' by families or business and had names or messages. Next was breakfast in Cooktown and then we headed for Eddies Camp at Elim Beach. It finally feels like we've started the Cape as we've hit dirt roads now. Through Hope Vale then east towards the beach. A picturesque spot even though a bit windy. We arrive at the camp and met Eddie as we paid for the night and set up a little back from the beach. Took some photos at low tide and then went back down at high tide which also happened to be pretty close to sunset.
