After saying our goodbyes to Grant and Lesley we headed for Hervey Bay. Realising it was still school holidays we rang ahead and booked a van park at Point Vernon. This turned out to be a mistake as the park was very small with small ensuite sites only. After manoeuvring onto the site and setting up we drove over to Uncle Bill for a few hours. We went into town to buy some food for dinner and dined on a BBQ chook and bread rolls.
