We did a bit of shopping in the morning to buy more shorts and swimmers then we went into town taking a walk along The Esplanade. What a beautiful part of the world. Because of the stingers and possibility of crocs there is no swimming in the ocean so right between The Esplanade and water is a huge swimming pool. It's open and free (no fences) with several BBQs and music playing in the shelters.

We had lunch at Rattle and Hum a pub that looks like it would be the heart of the nightlife. Back to the park where I went for a swim but it was a bit cool as the pool was in shade by the time I got there. We booked our tour to Kuranda for tomorrow.

Jo and Steve invited us to the night markets so back into town. These are on every night and were really interesting. We had dinner at the markets then back to camp for bed. We are loving Cairns.

In my attempt to get up in the middle of the night I forgot we were only using the one step and stumbled out of the camper. Slightly twisted my left ankle but seems OK.
