Saturday was the big 2 4 for LA, so a few of us went into town for lunch in the Comédie (moules frites, very nice) and then a wander round Odysseum before heading home to get ready for the evening. AL, GL and I had decided to sneak a cake round to hers so when she opened the door to us she'd be greeted by a jolly gang of well-wishers and food. Sadly, as we came upstairs she was standing by the door re-enacting a scene from the previous night with NU, so that was ruined; even though she did then run back to her room to be 'surprised'. After a while we went into town to meet the others for a drink and then we headed to Cargo, where AL went from looking like a smart businessman (see picture) to dishevelled mess in a matter of minutes. Despite the fact that LA flew into a rage when the two songs we hate most came on and mistook one boy for another we had a great night.

Monday was the official start of exams for us and I had 2 Ancien Francais in the morning. We got the first mark back at the end of the second exama and I was delighted to discover I got 7/20 (better than 1/20 with equal (no) revision), the teacher however, was not. The Littérature Generale exam on Tuesday was definitely the worst I've ever done; not only did I not have the book with me, I hadn't read the book. So a 1.5 hour exam on the 'characters at Casagrande' wasn't quite what I was hoping for. I did however write a very nice piece about 'a woman', 'a man' and 'an old lady'; any of whom may or may not be in the book.

In a separate incident, on Tuesday I met up with SA, who I met on Saturday, because he's leaving to do a stage in Metz. It went well, he bought champagne and wooed me with the usual French phrases. Even though at the end of the night I didn't really want to continue in a romantic manner I met up with him Wednesday because I'd already agreed to. It consisted of some very awkward exchanges as it appears he really likes me so at the end I had to tell him I couldn't see him anymore. Apparently he didn't understand this and to this moment has been 'bombarding' me with texts even though I haven't replied for the last 7. GREAT.
