Another example of how useless this university is: tomorrow we have a test for Condition Physique, meaning I have to miss a class. SA said we could do it on a different day as long as we had a note. I duly brought in a note, only to be told that actually other classes don't matter, I have to do it tomorrow because everyone's going to miss something. Apparently she can't find a time which would suit everyone. Er, how about during our LESSON on Wednesday perhaps? And yes this is the same teacher who says 'oopla' at least 20 times each lesson and finds time to flirt with the gardner while we're running ourselves ragged.
As most of my spare time here is spent thinking about food or eating, I thought I should mention a new restaurant we discovered thanks to MA called La Tomate. Not only did we get a 4 course dinner for 16 euros -not that we could even manage the cheese course- the portions were gargantuan. For example, my starter of fish soup was brought in a tureen containing about four bowlfuls, and that's without the bread, dip and cheese that accompanied it. MENTAL. Followed by veal escalope and Ile flottante made for one of my best meals here (as I say after every meal).
As Saturday was St. Patrick's Day, it was only right to go out and celebrate, although the French don't really do green, guinness or getting completely wasted so it was pretty much just a normal night out. Met yet another ridiculously named Frenchman- this time called Hubert- to add to the ever growing list of Quentin, Cyril, Cedric and Gerald to name a few.
