As we have 2 weeks holiday for Easter I decided to go home for a few days for some family time, food and of course to catch up on tv gems like 'Toddlers and Tiaras' and 'The JK Show'. Luckily while waiting at the airport I made friends with an American boy who saved me from having to sit next to one of the fattest families I've ever seen (drinking Coke and eating mini Twixes, of course).
It was nice to have a few days away from Montpellier and to just have a break from being a supposedly 'responsible' person. I had all the favourites: roast dinner, fish and chips, battenburg and naturally some cheddars. WI and I also continued our running programme from Christmas, and I was surprised to see an improvement in his times! Granny of course came round and was treated to an on the spot driving theory test by Dad (50mph on a motorway? really?). We also went to see Titanic 3D (no way can I watch it in French, Leo sounds hideous- surtout ne lache pas ma main?) which beforehand featured a man with a cart acting as if he was from the film reeling off a list of about 50 items he was selling. I don't think the next time I come home I'll be anywhere near as happy, I'm already preparing myself for Erasmus Depression.
For the last week LA's had 3 friends over and Saturdy night I got to meet ZO, as they'd planned a small pre-birthday celebration for LA. Luckily she's really nice so I'm not at all worried about living with her next year. We went to L'Assiette de Boeuf for dinner then went back to their appartment to get ready to go out, where we were joined by AL. When we were in Panama, I got the shock of my life while I was dancing with LE when I looked over and saw AL practically dirty dancing with JO and I later found out they kissed! I think we've finally suceeded in turning him into a true Englishman; though this afternoon he did then tell me he wanted to buy her a rose to show that he felt bad for kissing her the first time he met her.
