As is the focus of quite a lot of my spare time here, the past few days have been a flurry of food and drink. On Friday a few of us decided to go to Aux Deux Fondues in town, which several of my friends had been telling me about and CA had already been to. It was quite a meal for 17€90. We started with a 'cocktail maison' with little bowls of pasta and sausage and then ordered 2 cheese and 2 meat fondues between us. Not being a fondue fan, i wasn't really sure what to expect, but we were brought 2 pots, one filled with cheese and the other with oil; a platter of raw meat, bread, chips and salad. It was quite literally a feast, although my conscience was pricked slightly at the thought of deep-frying my meat. Also included was a second drink, wine, which for some reason was brought to us in baby bottles. Actual baby bottles. It was quite a surreal experience to see everyone gulping down their wine and it took quite a bit of getting used to before I understood the technique. After that we had dessert, 2 had 2 scoops of ice cream and a banana in a 'hilarious' form and the other 2 had chocolate fondue. After dinner the waiter also brought us shots of some green rum tasting drink. AMAZING.
By the time we finished it was about midnight, and I decided I wanted to go out. Sadly nobody else did but LA decided to accompany me to Panama, another of the bar/club's in town. After a couple of hours of drinking and learning an odd reggaeton dance we caught the last tram home. LA was going to walk me home and then get a bike back to hers, but when we got to uni there were none available, so we ended up top and tailing in my bed at 4am.
