Nykøbing is a large town down a long narrow channel that separates the islands of Lolland and Falster. We arrived in Vordingborg, the ancient capital of Denmark, we know the town well as we waited out a storm here several years ago. Our trip across from Germany was quite slow as the wind was against us, the day was very hot. We both felt tired, we had a quick walk round visiting the church and super market, the town has the so called biggest motorcycle museum in Europe but we didn’t feel like a museum on such a hot day.

The first big step on our way home is to cross the big bay called The Hano Bucht. We chose to cross to Christiansø as we have never managed to visit. Today we started in light winds but had to motor sail all the way 43 miles 7.5 hours. The wind got up to 12/13 knots but it was from behind and we just don't make a good speed in that wind and angle. We arrived here in Ronne on the sunny island of Bornholm yesterday evening after. 13 hour sail from Klintholm. Ronne is the capital of the island. Bornholm has its own language known as old east Danish or half Swedish it also has its own climate giving cool springs and warm Indian summers.
